Dumped Mayor John Banks Dines with Dotcom...why?



We don't know Mr. Dotcom...really...truly says latest FBI agent.



Why did National /Act’s lone MP dumped Auckland Mayor John Banks dine at Dotcom’s mansion…This is especially interesting since Dotcom lives in the Prime Ministers electorate and not John Banks.

Was John Banks seeking funding for his doomed party Act, or was he seeking backdoor funding for his real party National, or was he just there for a cup of tea? [Its funny don't you think, how the rich seem to know all the rich crooks]

These are questions that may well be answered sometime in the future, that is so long as the US, FBI, CIA don’t bump off Mr. Dotcom after naming him a 'terrorist at large' and therefore open legally to being assassinated at the pleasure of the US.

Prime Minister [and possible acting FBI Agent] John Key said officials were reviewing the file ''to check that they appropriately applied the rules'' but he had no plans to change the law”. It could be that in many respects this is government double-talk for adding or removing bits of the file that could prove embarrassing.

Key said he had been to the house when it was being built and he was a backbencher. But the first he knew about Dotcom living there was when he was briefed by the Solicitor General the day before last week's raids. Is this believable, Dotcom dines with Banks who then has a cup of tea with Keys where the conversation is recorded, Keys uses the police to shut down discussion about his conversation. Could it be that Dotcom was a part of that conversation?

''To be honest it will be no different to a number of New Zealanders who've had residency in countries overseas, and who've previously had convictions here.'' John Key said to the media…but he never named names, was he talking about some of those who ripped off investors and fled overseas to various tax-havens. And does this mean that because others accept our criminals, we have to accept theirs?

Key said Dotcom had ''fully disclosed his history'' and under German law, because of the clean slate provisions, effectively had a clean record”. This is simply incorrect the clean record only comes after a set period of time and in the case of Mr. Dotcom that time had not been reached.

Without doubt we’ll hear more about this strange take over by the FBI of our justice system as the US spins its web of intrigue on behalf of US corporate big business. Don’t be surprised if we have more Helicopter raids on those the US FBI and CIA consider their enemies.

Palmerston North and NZ has now come down to earth, the flag waving and cheering is all over, and we won the world cup, not by a landslide as most predicted but by a single point. Our local newspapers will now have to print some real news.

On Sunday night at Eden Park John K and Murray Mc were overheard while having a deep and meaningful conversation in the VIP lounge. Naturally it wasn’t about poverty or the unemployed or even the latest down grade or the stuff up over the Rena episode. No it was about, ‘What if’…we lose the final.

“Murray said John, ‘If we lose then the millions we’ve spent on staging the world cup has been totally wasted’.

“Come on John cheer-up’, said wee Murray, just keep up your smile I’m sure the AB’s will hold on for victory and you won’t need to present the cup to the French, but if you do, just remember to change the script and don’t shout ‘Go the mighty All Blacks’, you have practiced your speech haven’t you?

“Oh yes, I had had one last practice in front of the mirror at half-time and I must admit I sounded really smooth”, said John as he practiced yet again his smile.

“And you’ll remember what Steven Joyce said, and don’t try to speak French when you say how sorry you are for them losing the final” and please, please don’t smile at that moment”, said Murray very seriously.

“Right no French or Maori, I’ve got that firmly fixed in my ‘what not to do list’ from Steven, said John as he turned to Murray and asked if his tie was straight.

Murray adjusted John’s tie as the Eden Park crowd erupted in delight as the final whistle blew for full-time. The noise was overwhelming and any further eavesdropping was impossible.

And so the saga ended and after decades the cup was ours. John and Murray headed off to the field to bask in the glory and above the roar of the crowd Johns last words were, “I must remember not to speak French or Maori”, as he practiced his grin one last time. Amen…said my God as she headed off to help out with the Turkish earthquake.

PS: It has just been made public that the running of the cup cost, 400 million dollars yes folks 400 million dollars! [the NZRU lost 38 million, the government spent 26 million directly and the rest went to fund high level visitors, business programmes and the tax and rate payers spent 350 million on stadiums and facilities] Manawatu Standard Tuesday 25^th October 2011]

Murray McCully the Minister in charge of the RWC said he was pleased that the costs were as they were and hailed this massive financial loss as 'a triumph...

When is a lie not a lie? When the PM says so!

It's all true...it really is!

Question: Did Standard and Poors tell you that a down grade of NZ’s credit rating would take place if there was a change of government?

Answer: That’s correct.

Question: So what you told Parliament during question time was correct?

Answer: Yes.

Question: Why then has Standard and Poors publicly stated they did no such thing?

Answer: I’mmm…I’m not sure.

Question: Why then did you say what you did?

Answer: No comment…no…are there any other questions…

Two hours later…

PM states that he was sent an email that implied that Standard and Poors said that a down grade was likely if a change of Government took place. When asked who send the email he declined to comment. Standard and Poors stated that they never sent such an email. Others also stated that they never sent such an email. He was asked once again who sent the email and he replied, the sender was reliable, but he wouldn’t reveal just who it was.

Assumption: PM was telling porkies or his memory or his PR team had let him down…you decide.

Key later conceded the comments he used in Parliament were based on hearsay. “I’m relying on the person who wrote the email. They invited me to use it. I’m telling you it’s not a random comment I made up.” He would not identify his source. The decision to release the email with the senders name blacked out comes after Goff accused Key of misleading Parliament with the comments, an offence which can lead to embarrassment through hearings and censure by Parliament’s powerful Privileges Committee. The Mana Party wrote.

“Instead of scaremongering about a new government the Prime Minister should come clean and admit his poor economic mismanagement is to blame for the credit downgrade. NZ is tired of a Prime Minister who won't front up on the hard issues of economic credibility but is happy to talk about his cat or Coronation Street timeslots on Radio Live!

So when is a lie not a lie? Was the PM telling porkies…you tell me? So far this week we’ve had the Ministers of Education, Defence, Environment and the PM all caught-out telling what could be called porkies, is it possible that porkies are a new and dangerous virus sweeping through the government. Can one be vaccinated against such a dangerous, possibly fatal community disease?

Pay back for a soft loan: Mediaworks has organised for John Key to be broadcast on their failing radio stations, no doubt they will use their women’s reporter, Paul Henry or Michael Laws to do soft interviews and or have others ring in with guided questions. It is amazing what fools money can buy.

This is the crowd that was once owned by Steven Joyce and who out of the blue and against advice received a very soft loan of around 42 million dollars from tax payers [you and I] when they were on the very edge of going broke. And we should never forget that brave phone tapping expert Robert Murdock owns a large hunk of them. Now it would seem that they are repaying the favour in kind…Fox News and the Republican Tea Party have arrived in our fair land, invited in by our own PM.

A Lost War

Nicky Hager’s [pictured] new book, “Other People’s War” has just hit the stands Gordon Campbell on Scoop wrote the following: “It was most ironic that after less than a week in office our new Governor General Jerry Mateparae is now in the hot seat and will no doubt be asked to answer some difficult questions. Here is one from me, ‘Who were the British civilians that our SAS were attempting to rescue? Were they mercenaries or security persons hired by British or American private security companies… who are making millions of dollars each month by profiting from death and destruction? So far our main stream media is silent and it certainly lacks the investigative skills of Nicky Hager to give us answers. Maybe some one should ask our new military GG that question.

If there are fantasies involved here, they are not on Hager’s side of the equation. The real and willful fantasy is that the defence bureaucracy always passively enacts the defence policies of the government of the day... Every New Zealander should read this book. It shows us the workings in current Third World hot spots of the pattern of subservience to Canberra and Washington that the current government is busily resurrecting”…

John Key and Afghanistan:

BY 2009, with Bush gone and Obama as president, it was suddenly all right to voice an uncomfortable idea that until then had lingered only on the fringes: US politicians and military figures began to ask if the United States was losing the war. Many western commentators also simultaneously noticed that the Karzai government was deeply corrupt.

It was at this inauspicious moment that the new National government conducted a review of its future Afghanistan policies. But the government refused to release this advice under the Official Information Act, claiming that would threaten New Zealand’s “security, defence or international relations”.

These are the words they deleted: “The situation in Afghanistan is fragile, probably more so than any time since 2001. Security has been steadily deteriorating. There are almost daily bombings, kidnappings and assassinations in Kabul and, in some provinces such as Wardak (which neighbours Bamiyan), the Taliban openly patrol the streets. Opinion varies as to the prevalence of the Taliban presence and the feasibility of its defeat by foreign forces.” The war had reached the capital.

Two months later, in August 2009, the National government agreed to a US request to send the SAS back to Afghanistan. The 70-person contingent flew to Afghanistan the following month. Guess where it was going.

The government refused to say, but only a few weeks later the news got out: the New Zealanders were in Kabul. The location had been published in a newspaper in Norway, quoting a Norwegian military chief whose Kabul-based special forces had been replaced by the SAS. They were in a very different role from the earlier deployments, helping to train a fledgling Afghan government anti-terrorist unit called the Crisis Response Unit. Prime Minister John Key had assured journalists that the SAS would not be fighting with any Afghan forces they were training because that was “particularly dangerous”.

Three months later, it emerged that the SAS was not just training and mentoring the Afghan unit, but accompanying it on dangerous missions. SAS soldiers, including Willie Apiata, were photographed in January 2010 leaving a bloody battle in downtown Kabul. John Key promised greater openness over future SAS operations. He said they would work “alongside” the Crisis Response Unit and CDF Lieutenant-General Jerry Mateparae gave a new assurance: “In essence, there must be an Afghan face to activities, which means Afghanistan security force participation in all NZSAS operations.”

ON Christmas Eve, 2010, an SAS team raided a building in Kabul that intelligence said contained two car bombs destined for an attack on the US embassy. The intelligence was wrong. The location they raided was a company called Tiger International that hired vehicles to the US-led forces. The SAS soldiers, believing they had been shot at, killed two local security guards with shots to the head and just missed another. The SAS had led the raid and, according to witnesses, they stormed the building on their own. Only later did Afghan National Security Directorate staff arrive. It was about an hour before the SAS soldiers were informed of their mistake. Neither the New Zealand military nor the US forces have offered any compensation or support to the families of the people killed or for the wounded.

It turned out that the National government had provided the SAS for one of the bloodiest and most dangerous military roles in Afghanistan: frontline operations against suicide bombers and other attackers in the deepening insurgency. Some SAS soldiers were not at all happy about being used in the new roles.

John Key was using them, essentially, as a signal of its pro-American loyalties: the more dangerous the role, as other countries began withdrawing troops from Afghanistan, the more appreciation it could expect from the US. But the soldiers risked paying the price. In February 2011, Key extended their deployment for another 12 months and in August 2011, the first Afghanistan-deployed SAS member, Corporal Doug Grant, died during a battle with insurgents in Kabul.

So we now have another ex-military Governor General, the last military officer [Sir Bernard Fergusson] was appointed by the Queen. After that appointment we removed the right for the Queen to appoint our Governors’ General, and we swore we would never again have a military appointment. John Key broke that rule…we should never forget that the GG is appointed by the PM only, and does what the PM says, if he doesn’t he gets the sack and the PM appoints someone who will carry out his instructions. The GG is not elected and has no mandate as such. Can you imagine the GG refusing to sign some law passed under urgency in the dead of the night that the majority of the population opposes, military men are normally used to carrying out orders not opposing them? Still I wish the new GG all the best I’m sure he is honest and I sincerely hope that he is different to the last GG appointed by the Queen. Sir Bernard Fergusson whose history as a British commander during the 2^nd WW was highly respected but his background in the British Military during the occupation of Palestine was somewhat suspect.
